I'm afraid of what I am,
yet I fear what I'll become
I have nightmares,
ones where I reach out to you,
call out your name,
but you turn your back to me,
because of this monster I've become
I scream
and wake,
panting
tears sting my eyes,
but dare not fall
for if they did I would fall apart

Voices rage about in my head
I try to ignore them
but they whisper such things,
sweet nothings

I feel like something's missing,
taken from me
yet I don't know what it is
but there's something else,
a dark presence
at times it influences my actions,
other times I fear what it will do

A little something I wrote in my class, the POV being one of my OCs. I was actually staring out the window and contemplating what his thoughts would be and here's what I got.
